Chief Executive Officer
Stephen is passionate about the transition of Australia’s energy supply from centralised fossil fuel to decentralised renewable energy. For over 20 years Stephen has worked in senior executive and advisory roles in the Australian and South-East Asian electricity and gas market – starting new businesses, running contestable markets, leading industry and business transformation and advising on market reform.
Stephen uses his deep understanding of energy market value drivers and regulation to create value for all stakeholders. Stephen is a Board member of the Yarra Energy Foundation and an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, USA.
Richard is a Senior Executive with extensive corporate and international trade experience in Australia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. In 2014 Richard established a highly successful engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, AEES Group, focused on ‘generating cost reduction and sustainability change’ through deploying renewable energy technologies to commercial businesses.
The EPC delivers large-scale Behind-The-Meter commercial PV, generation and storage systems aimed at automating; Demand Response, FCAS, Pool Price Autobid and Demand Management solutions. Richard is also a graduate of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training with Al Gore in Florida, USA.
General Manager of Sales
Brad Walsh has two decades of experience managing corporate teams and implementing proven sales strategies for fiscal growth. He has held various senior sales executive positions from account director to coaching director and executive business partner.
Within these roles, he led new business acquisitions, developed the strategic approach to market, and managed multi-million-dollar portfolios, mastering the commercial end-to-end sales process. Brad has trained several state sales directors and account managers on relationship management and increasing returns. Brad’s extensive experience working to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and endless team management knowledge make him the perfect general sales manager for the sales team.
Riley Van de Loo is an electrical and electronics engineer with a bachelor’s degree (with honours) from RMIT university. Riley has developed a proprietary, cloud-based platform; “Optimised Bid
Engine” (OBE) that works to minimise the cost of energy for a customer’s site through real-time optimised management of onsite energy assets. Riley has developed renewable energy solutions for complex sites and specialises in demand management, VPPs, C&I Battery Storage and synchronisation of Behind-the-Meter Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) to the grid.
C&I – Sales Executive
Shannon has held senior positions within fast growth technology focused organisations for 15+ years. Shannon has demonstrated adaptability with success in a multitude of industries, offering capabilities across a broad range of functions including strategy, product development, product management, new business development, business analysis, project management and operations.
Shannon’s experience in identifying market opportunities within environmental/waste/recycling/renewables sector has led him to represent Acacia’s services to enable organisations to not just meet their Net Zero targets, but to bring operational benefits and bottom-line uplift.
C&I – Sales Executive
Operating in the sales environment for more than 17 years in various international roles, Travis’ passion for renewables brought him to Acacia. Integrity and strategic relationships are the cornerstone of his career, which include developing multi-million dollar business ventures in various vertical markets.
Cultivating relationships that provide positive results for all parties involved is something he prides himself on, and has seen him develop business channels that reach all corners of Australia. Travis holds a post graduate diploma in Strategic Leadership.
Tara has a background in management and accounting that allows for smooth business operations. Tara completed her Master of International Business and an MBA in Professional Accounting from Deakin University.
Tara’s extensive experience across both management and professional accounting roles throughout Asia and Australia provide her with the tools to ensure business runs efficiently.
David has over with over 25 years’ experience with client Relationship Management in business, private and corporate sectors of banking, with 3 years’ experience in the renewables industry. David specialises on small and large scale STC projects across a range of industries including residential apartment buildings, golf clubs, breweries, schools, and wholesale nurseries.
David has also project managed several State Government tenders. David’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business – Banking & Finance.
